As Saman exits the supermarket, an elderly man struggling with heavy bags catches his attention. The man’s trembling hands grip his cane while the bags keep slipping. Saman steps forward: “Let me help you.” The old man hesitates, as if waiting for something. Saman simply takes the bags and walks beside him.
Along the way, the old man gradually opens up: he talks about his grandson who became a doctor, about the tree in front of his house that inexplicably withered. Saman just listens. When they reach the bus stop, the man places his hand on Saman’s shoulder: “My daughter always said angels are invisible… Today I realized she was wrong.”
Saman smiles as he walks away, but a strange feeling pulses within him: he’s helped someone whose name he doesn’t even know. His heart feels lighter, just like when Maryam first told him: “Sometimes the things you give to others get lost along the way… only to return to you.”
