**Dear friends, constant companions of “Bridge of Civilizations” 🌉**
This week in our weekly challenge, we want to talk about one of the most important – and perhaps most painful – questions that have occupied many of our minds: **What is the most important reason for the backwardness of the Islamic world?** 🤔
Several options are before us, and each can, in its own way, be part of the truth:
* **Colonialism and the Western conspiracy 🌍:** Have external pressures and the interference of Western powers been an obstacle to the progress of Islamic civilization?
* **Distance from true Islam 🕌:** Has moving away from the authentic principles and teachings of Islam taken us off the right path?
* **Internal despotism and incompetent governments 👑:** Have inappropriate governance and the lack of fundamental freedoms hindered growth and flourishing?
* **Differences and division among Muslims ⚔️:** Has fragmentation and internal conflict drained the strength of Islamic civilization?
* **A combination of all factors 🤷:** Or perhaps a more complex answer awaits, encompassing all these factors?
This question does not have a simple, one-dimensional answer. Each of these options portrays a layer of reality, and often these factors are intertwined and reinforce each other. For example, internal despotism can pave the way for foreign interference, and division among Muslims reduces bargaining power and resistance against colonialism. On the other hand, moving away from the ethical and unifying teachings of Islam can intensify internal conflicts and weakness in the face of external pressure.
**What do you think? Which of these factors, in your opinion, plays a more prominent role in the current situation of the Islamic world?** Share your views with us in the comments so that together we can reach a deeper understanding of this issue.
We look forward to your valuable opinions, and we will publish the best ones next week! 🎁
